Characteristics and scope of application:

Compared with 3A21, 5A02 has higher strength, especially higher fatigue strength; similar to 3A21,5A02 aluminum has higher plasticity and corrosion resistance; heat treatment can not be strengthened, contact welding and hydrogen atom welding have good weldability, and there is a tendency to crystalline cracks in argon arc welding; alloy has better machinability in cold and Semi-cold hardening, poor machinability in annealing and polishing.

5754 aluminum is widely used in welding structures, tanks, pressure vessels, ship structures and offshore facilities, transport tanks and tanks, as well as in occasions requiring excellent processing performance, excellent corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength, high weldability and medium static strength.

Specification aluminum plates for heat treatment:

1) Homogenization annealing: heating 440 C; holding 12-14 h; air cooling.

2) Rapid annealing: heating 350-410 C; holding time 30-120 min; air or water cooling.

3) High temperature annealing: heating 350-420 C; when the thickness of finished product is more than 6 mm or less than 6 mm, the holding time is 2-10 minutes or 10-30 minutes; air cooling.

4) Low-temperature annealing: heating 250-300 or 150-180 degrees; holding time 1-2 hours, air-cooled.
